Long story short, we take photos and write reviews.

In our reviews, we try to take as many photos as possible, including the dishes as well as the atmosphere of the restaurant. We will provide an introduction to our dining experience at each restaurant as well as a critical review on each dish. We will also rate each restaurant on five different aspects: taste, service, atmosphere, presentation, and technique. Each restaurant will be given a rating out of 10 for each aspect, except 15 for taste and 5 for technique, totalling to a final rating out of 50. We chose to rate taste out of 15 because we think that is ultimately the most important aspect about food and technique is rated out of 5 because we want it to act more like a bonus than a hinderance for the scores. And last but not least, we will decide whether we think the restaurant deserves the star it acquired and give it our own "Fuchelin Star" (yes that is now a thing).

We obviously have our own tastes and preferences in food, so just to let you know, we absolutely despise sweetbreads (thymus? ew.), natto beans, and fermented skate (홍어). And I really don’t appreciate Sichuan “mala” spicy while Calvin can’t stand cinnamon. Now, on the brighter side, some of our favorites include avocado (YUM), avocado (YUMYUM), and avocado (YUMYUMYUM). Calvin’s also in love with sriracha and I can never say no to a good pasta (al dente please).

CAUTION: Our reviews won’t be short because we want to put in as much detail as possible, so scroll to the bottom for ratings and Fuchelin stars if you’re too lazy, but just know that you’ll be missing out.
